If I give you Blattner flaxseeds they have a brown or yellow skin, depending on the variety, they have a slightly nutty flavor and contain around 40% fat (linseed oil). The polyunsaturated fatty acid omega-3 alpha-linolenic acid has a share of approximately 50%, which is the highest concentration of omega-3 fatty acids of all known vegetable oils. Other important ingredients are mucilage, linamarin, flaxseed oil, proteins, lecithin; also sterols, vitamins B1, B2, B6 and E as well as nicotinic, folic and pantothenic acid.
Flaxseeds should be contained in mixtures up to a maximum of 8-10%. It is mainly used in mixes of canaries, forest birds and large parakeets
