Carduelis Mixture - Herb Bird Mix
Carduelis Herb Bird Mix designed and created by Dutch breeder Andres Van Den Berg.
The mixture consists of high quality and fresh seeds, without dust. The seeds covered with dust are partly due to the fact that they are old and too dry and therefore of low quality. Mixes that contain a lot of dust give rise, for example, to respiratory infections " mycoplasmosis " , etc....
A unique blend because it contains only the necessary ones, avoiding those that have a harmful effect on the health of goldfinches. Many blends have added seeds, even for the price, that are not good for goldfinches. For example, rapeseed that actually causes liver problems in goldfinches! Or too oily seeds that birds love to eat, unsuitable because of its high fat content.
This mixture is composed of:
- Seeds without dust! (when you open the bag you can already smell the freshness)
- No harmful and fatty seeds (which will cause liver problems)
- Exclusive seeds that don't normally even appear in a standard blend
- Dried Oregano and Moringa Leaves
Here is a brief explanation of the seeds in this unique blend:
Perilla white seed : it is anti-inflammatory, especially for the intestines and is a natural antioxidant. It increases resistance, has a good fat content and is rich in fibers easily digestible for the intestines. Ideal for young birds.
Small hemp seeds : contain the most common omega 3,6,9 fats which are completely harmless for birds, all other hemp (the medium and large variant) are much cheaper but unsuitable for our birds.
Chicory seeds : The seed has a high content of the amino acid lysine. For birds, the intestinal and liver cleansing effect of chicory is welcomed. Many birds regularly suffer from intestinal, kidney and liver problems. We can take advantage of this effect through chicory seeds. This also applies to most of the other effects of chicory, such as promoting digestion, fighting intestinal worms, purifying the blood and promoting blood circulation.
White Seed: White seed is rich in carbohydrates and healthy fats. This ensures good condition for the birds. White seed also contains extra amino acids.
Grass seed : It is rich in nutrients and energy, especially during the breeding season and winter months.
White Lettuce Seeds : A seed that even birds love to eat in nature, the seed contains many good properties and acids. It ensures, among other things, a good intestinal condition.
Sesame Seeds: Sesame seeds are rich in vitamins and minerals including: manganese, copper, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, iron and selenium. Sesame seeds also contain fiber and protein. Sesame seeds contain a high number of B complex vitamins: B3, B11, B1, B6 and B2. It also contains vitamin E. Sesame seeds also protect the liver.
Yellow flaxseed: Flaxseed is a good source of energy for birds . It contains a high percentage of omega 3, which is said to promote the development of feathers in birds. Flaxseed is therefore fed to birds, especially in winter, when the animals find less food. The amino acid pattern of flaxseed is favorable, especially the arginine content is high. Flaxseed has a positive effect on the plumage of birds and is indispensable during the moulting period.
Millet: The most important substances in millet are amino acids, the essential amino acids needed. These cannot be produced by the bird itself. Therefore, these must be present in the diet. A bird needs about 20 amino acids for the formation of body proteins. The bird is not able to produce all the necessary amino acids itself; these amino acids (10 in number) must be added through the diet. If one of these amino acids is not sufficiently present in the diet, a physical deficiency occurs. With all its consequences for the health of the bird. The young grow little or not at all, permanent moult (permanent moult) and the results of reproduction are not forthcoming.
Micro Black Sunflower : Contains a lot of vitamin E and selenium, which are useful for reproduction. Among the amino acids contained in sunflower seeds, one of the most important is methionine. Methionine is really necessary for the growth of young animals and for the production of eggs.
Chia seeds : a super source of protein, calcium and protective gel-like dietary fiber for the stomach and intestines. Chia contains five times more calcium than milk, its iron content is higher than that of spinach. It is rich in high-quality vegetable protein, omega-3 fatty acids (especially linolenic acid), Vit C, Thiamine, Riboflavin. Chia seeds for birds are a good source of soluble dietary fiber. These small seeds act against diarrhea and are important for healthy digestion.
Milk Thistle Seeds : It is an excellent liver and purifying seed, it also colors the mask!!! Keep in mind that this is the light variant, which does not happen in many doughs, because the dark one is too hard and simply cannot be eaten.
Golden seeds of pleasure : The good properties are: increases the desire to feed the little ones, improves the condition, makes the feathers shine better and promotes digestion. The effect on the condition and plumage is attributed to the high content of amino acids and fatty acids.
Fennel seeds : Fennel seeds contain several antioxidants. These substances remove harmful radicals from the bird's body. This means that fennel seeds protect against infections. It aids digestion and contains numerous vitamins and minerals.
Anise seeds : Anise seeds are immunostimulants, they act and especially increase white blood cells (lymphocytes). Anise is expected to have an antifungal and especially anti-candidiasis effect. It has a positive effect on the stomach and intestinal tract. Anise seeds are used as a digestive, they facilitate digestion, anise has an expectorant effect. Anise also stimulates appetite and kills bacteria
Carrot seeds: They contain a lot of fiber (easily digestible) and nutrients, while being low in calories.
The seed is also rich in beta-carotene , which is good for the color of birds. Beta-carotene is an antioxidant and is converted into vitamin A in the body.
Basil Seed: It is antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, contains antioxidants and flavonoids. It has antifungal properties to fight infections. It can fight intestinal parasites (worms, coccidiosis). Basil is also a good source of calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, copper, zinc, vitamins A, C and K. Basil contains the ingredient eugenol, which provides the antibacterial. effect. Eugenol inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria such as Shigella, Listeria monocytogenes, Escherichia coli and Yersinia enterocolitica. These bacteria are known to cause gastrointestinal infections and diarrhea. In addition, the seed is rich in fiber (especially soluble fiber). Fiber can help with intestinal health. The seed contains a high content of polysaccharides with a high prebiotic effect. The tender seed of basil is very important, especially for young birds.
Dried Oregano Leaves: Antifungal, rich in vitamins and minerals. Preventive against intestinal diseases and inhibits bacteria
Dried Moringa Leaves: The leaves contain beta-carotene, are rich in minerals, but also rich in vitamins such as vitamin A, B complex (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B11). Vitamin C, D, E and K
